Shelly Sarfati (Mexico City, 1982) is an artist whose work navigates the duality between the figurative and the abstract, incorporating themes of symbiosis, identity, and cultural reintegration. Her practice is deeply influenced by symbolic elements such as the cactus, representing both her roots and her ongoing process of grafting and adaptation.

She studied at the Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art, one of Israel’s most prestigious institutions in the fields of design and the arts, renowned for its contributions to the creative industry and academic research. Over the years, she has enriched her education through various courses and certifications in color theory, psychology of form, visual marketing, composition and imagery, contemporary art history, photography, human figure, and encaustic techniques, among others.

Her work has been showcased in prominent cultural spaces, including the Polyforum Cultural Siqueiros, where she participated in two group exhibitions alongside established artists. She has also exhibited at Ethos Arte (Centro Banamex), Mujer Técnica Mixta, and various institutional and independent venues.

Through her artistic practice, Shelly Sarfati continues to explore the intersection of memory, identity, and transformation, weaving a continuous dialogue between the personal and the collective.

Shelly Sarfati (Ciudad de México, 1982) es una artista cuya obra explora la dualidad entre lo figurativo y lo abstracto, integrando conceptos como la simbiosis, la identidad y la reinserción cultural. Su trabajo se inspira en elementos simbólicos como el cactus, que representan tanto sus raíces como su proceso de injerto y adaptación.

Estudió en el Instituto de Arte y Diseño Shenkar, una de las instituciones más prestigiosas de Israel en el ámbito del diseño y las artes, reconocida por su contribución a la industria creativa y la investigación. A lo largo de su trayectoria, ha complementado su formación con diversos cursos y diplomados en teoría del color, psicología de la forma, mercadotecnia visual, composición e imagen, historia del arte contemporáneo, fotografía, figura humana y encausto, entre otros.

Su obra ha sido exhibida en espacios culturales de relevancia, como el Polyforum Cultural Siqueiros, donde participó en dos exposiciones colectivas junto a artistas reconocidos. También ha expuesto en Ethos Arte (Centro Banamex), Mujer Técnica Mixta y diversos foros tanto institucionales como independientes.

A través de su práctica artística, Shelly Sarfati continúa explorando la intersección entre memoria, identidad y transformación, plasmando en su obra una búsqueda constante de conexión entre lo personal y lo colectivo.
